Schoolhouse Cottage is a one bedroom self-catering cottage sleeping two in a luxurious king-size bed.

The cottage has gorgeous views of the sea and mountains and is wonderfully located for exploring the highlands.

The space
The cottage is light, bright and cozy and overlooks Loch Linnhe and the mountains of Glencoe and Ballachulish.

The spacious living room has a vaulted ceiling and leads on to an open plan kitchen and dining area.

The bedroom has a king-size bed with a memory foam mattress and fitted wardrobes. The whole cottage is decorated in restful, neutral colours.

Located on the main route through the western highlands, connecting Glencoe to Mallaig, Skye and the small isles, the cottage is on the A82, 10 miles south of Fort William and between the villages of Onich and North Ballachulish.

Surrounding the cottage are beautiful gardens with an outdoor seating area.

Across the road, steps lead on to a secluded, shingle beach with views eastwards towards Glencoe and westwards towards the Isle of Mull.

There is fast Wi-Fi, along with a Smart TV/DVD player and a Bluetooth music system.

The kitchen is well equipped with an oven, hob, microwave, fridge, and dishwasher, and basics such as organic sunflower oil, sugar, salt and pepper are also provided. In addition, you will find complimentary tea and organic ground coffee, as well as Scottish shortbread.

Laundry facilities are also available.

Perfect as a base for exploring the Highlands and touring on to Skye and the northern isles, the cottage offers the flexibility of short stays, self-catering.

Ideal for couples, we can also provide a cot and high chair for wee ones.

Schoolhouse Cottage is available  to book for a minimum stay of 3 nights.

One dog is usually welcome at no additional charge but please check with us before booking if you intend to bring a dog, giving details of your dog (age, breed, size, etc). We do not accept large dogs or any young puppies..

We look forward to welcoming you as our guests.

Guest access
The cottage is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay and has its own front and back doors, ensuring private access.

It has ample car parking which is private and secure.

You can reach the shingle beach by crossing the road.

Interaction with guests
We are the owners of the Schoolhouse cottage and live next door in "Tigh Sgoile". In Gaelic, the name means "School House" and the whole building used to be the village school, in use as such from 1876 to 1980.

We are usually around in case you have any queries and would be delighted to give you recommendations about places to visit and local pubs and walks.

Other things to note
We have a small, friendly dog called Monty. He is a little white fluffy Maltese/Shitzu cross and very used to new people coming to visit, but we will of course keep him away from any guests who don't like dogs.
